Thermage® Skin
Tightening in Toronto

Explore non-invasive radiofrequency treatment for skin firmness and visible lines. At Glamazing, start with your face or neck concerns and a plan that fits your skin.

Understanding Thermage®

Skin firmness.
Change that develops.

Thermage® uses radiofrequency energy to heat deeper skin layers and support collagen remodelling. It is an energy-based treatment performed at the skin surface, without placing filler or lifting threads beneath the skin.

Although it sits in our Laser & Energy category, Thermage is a radiofrequency treatment. Discuss the texture, lines or loss of firmness you notice, rather than choosing a treatment only from its name.

A consultation at our Toronto clinic on Broadview Avenue helps define the treatment area and the improvement you would consider worthwhile. Skin tightening can be gradual and subtle; results vary, and it does not replace a surgical facelift.

The radiofrequency approach

Working with your skin’s collagen support.

Controlled heating is used to support changes in the collagen beneath the surface. Visible improvement develops as the skin responds over time.

Firmness, tissue position and volume are different concerns. An assessment helps distinguish them before deciding on an approach.

Our treatment areas

Face & neck.
A connected assessment.

Glamazing’s Thermage service list includes the face and neck. The plan identifies the specific area to be treated and the expected extent of change.

01

Face

Discuss visible lines and changes in skin firmness. A facial assessment separates skin looseness from volume loss or changes in the underlying tissues.

02

Neck

Bring concerns about neck texture and firmness. The treatment boundary should be clear before you book.

03

A plan you understand

Confirm the proposed area, device, expected appointment length, cost and review timing. You do not need to decide on a treatment before your first consultation.

Your treatment journey

During the visit.
Over the following months.

01 / Before treatment

Review your skin.

Share previous fillers, threads and other procedures, together with your relevant medical history. These details help with suitability and treatment timing.

02 / During treatment

Warmth at the surface.

A handpiece delivers RF energy. Heating and cooling sensations are expected, and discomfort is possible. Tell the treating clinician if a sensation feels too intense.

03 / After treatment

Allow time for change.

Many people resume usual activities shortly afterwards. Temporary redness or swelling can occur; continue the skincare and sun-protection advice provided for your visit.

Judge progress over time.

Some early change may be noticeable. Improvement can continue over the next 2–6 months. Photographs taken in similar lighting can help with a fair comparison; the amount and duration of improvement vary.

Your questions

Thermage® FAQs

Clear answers to help you plan your visit.

When should I expect to see a change?

Some people notice an early change, while visible improvement generally develops over 2–6 months. The amount of improvement and how long it lasts vary. An immediate photograph is not a reliable measure of the final response.

Does Thermage hurt?

You can feel brief heating and cooling sensations as the handpiece treats the skin. Mild to moderate discomfort is possible. Tell the clinician about your comfort throughout the visit.

Is there downtime?

Many people return to normal activities shortly after treatment. Redness often settles within a day; swelling may take several days and can occasionally last longer. Do not plan around a promise of no swelling.

How many sessions will I need?

Thermage is commonly planned as a single treatment with a later review, rather than a routine series of closely spaced visits. Repeat treatment depends on the response, skin changes and individual plan.

Can I have Thermage if I already have fillers or threads?

Tell the clinic where and when you had them. Treatment over fillers has not been studied by the manufacturer, so compatibility and timing need an individual review. Do not assume that different procedures can be combined on the same day.

Who should avoid treatment, and what are the risks?

Do not undergo Thermage if you have a pacemaker or another active electrical implant. Pregnancy, breastfeeding and relevant health conditions need review. Possible risks include pain, swelling, burns, altered sensation, surface irregularities and pigment changes. Report unexpected or persistent symptoms promptly.
